IFS Award Ceremony Red Carpet Event

Miriam Graves won the award for Best Thriller and nominated for Best Picture.
“It was the most intense night of my life,” said Richard Tur, the film’s director. “We often refer to Miriam Graves as the little film that could. The fact that our first-time no-budget feature film was in competition with a $10 million dollar film with two major Hollywood actors was incredible. We lost but we won.”
For Shelli, it was her first role in a film, playing Miriam Graves. John Smistad of The Quick Flick Critic Blog referred to her portrayal of Miriam Graves “raw and utterly heartbreaking”.
Anastasia Blackwell played Miriam’s mean-spirited sister, Sarah. In addition to acting, she is an author, having written two gothic-themed novels, “The House on Black Lake” and “The Chamber of Curiosities”.
